San Francisco for Lunch

I gave up on posting while on my trip, so am catching up now that I’m back.  This is my lunch trip into the city to meet my friend M for lunch.  Gorgeous day, and had to shed the jacket and scarf during my walk along the Embarcadero.  Of course I had to stop at the Ferry Building for a sweet treat.  Not enough room for the Slocombe Ice Cream cone, so went with the dulche de leche cookie.  It was oh so buttery and oh so good.

San Francisco: Quick Trip

IMG_3835I got to escape the cold with a quick trip to San Francisco and Half Moon Bay for work last week.  I couldn’t have needed it any more…I could feel the warm air as soon as I exited the plane.   Dinner with a friend and day in the San Francisco office…was great.  I also took advantage of lunch to head next door to the Ferry Building.  After checking out all my options, I went with the Beef Pho from Out the Door, the takeout of the Slanted Door which I love.  I went outside and sat on the bench, enjoying the view and lunch.

And just a few shots of the office which is out on the pier.  Great space.  I even lucked into a cocktail reception for work that night, right next door at La Mar.

The Bay Area

Enjoying some time off this week. To say we are taking it easy is an understatement. We met up with one of Mark’s Bschool friends for a drink in the Marina area. We had some time before and after so did some exploring.

I found a cute little stationary store tucked in a little back alley. I had to buy some monogrammed stationary.

Then on to dinner with a great Lebanese wine. We had it a few years ago with Jared and Mari.

And I love a good picture of a steep street.
