Last weekend we were in Rhinecliff for the Dan & Isabel wedding, so spent Saturday exploring the area. We went back over the Hudson River to the Red Hook area, then a little farther north in search of something to eat.
We ended up at Gigi’s market for some tasty breakfast sandwiches. And then ended the meal with an apple cider donut.
I grew up apple picking at Johnny Appleseed’s in Ellington. Years of weekly trips to the orchard. Nothing will ever really compare, but like to get to an orchard in the fall. We stopped at Greigs and I picked a few apples from the bins and posed for a pumpkin pic.
Nice! We’re heading to New Paltz the weekend of the 19th, doing the B&B thing. Hope there’s still some foliage left by then!
Lara – the leaves were JUST beginning to turn when we were there. it wasn’t close to peak at all. So maybe you’ll hit it at just the right time! Enjoy the trip, it’s nice in that area.
