Could the watermelon be any better this time of year? We picked up a huge one at the greenmarket on Saturday. When asked which ones were good, the grower replied “I only sell them when they are ready to eat”. Sounds good to me! We had a great salad out in California at the Burgers. I asked for the recipe and we brought a similar salad with us yesterday.
Fresh basil, olive oil, lime, basil, salt and pepper, and a sprinkle of feta cheese. Totally refreshing!
