I’m a New Yorker which means I just need to walk a lot. It’s 12 minutes to the subway in the morning, down steps, up steps, up more steps. I think about how hard it is for someone a little overweight, with a broken foot, with a stroller. So when I had to get stitches between my toes last week, I had a taste of what it’s like to hobble around.
Deciding it was easier to keep my feet up and on the couch in the suburbs, I went home to Ellington. It’s like being at a B&B. My mom had coffee and scones ready on Saturday morning. I love the warm scones on Saturdays and it’s become somewhat routine. In January, Briana made them for us in DC. They were delicious and I probably ate one too many. Thanks for the TLC this weekend, Mom & Dad.
Bravo On Demand (that is 5 Top Chefs, 4 RHOC, 2 ROBH, 1 MDL and a Portlandia, phew, wasn’t sure I was going to get through it all!), scones, Chinese for dinner, then omelets delivered to me today?…let’s just say it was a wonderful weekend with my very sweet parents.
Thank you guys!
